EIFIL stands for Evidence Initiative for Improved Livelihood. We are a registered Nigerian non-profit established in 2015. Our mission is to empower vulnerable women, children, and communities by promoting sustainable livelihoods, improving access to resources, and advancing social justice.

Where do you work?
We have offices in Nasarawa at 5 Chief Light Uzoije Street, Behind City College of Education, Mararaba, Karu LGA, and in Bauchi at DCC Plaza, Maiduguri Bypass, opposite Bauchi State Civil Service Commission. We also implement projects in Kogi and other states.
What are EIFIL’s main areas of work?
Our eight core focus areas are:
- Humanitarian Aid — emergency relief, food, shelter, and medical aid.
- Agriculture & Climate Change — climate-smart farming and tree planting.
- Education — access for marginalized and displaced children, especially girls.
- WASH — clean water, sanitation, and hygiene education.
- ASRHR & GBV — sexual-health education, youth-friendly services, and safe spaces for survivors.
- Combating Human Trafficking — awareness, victim support, and rehabilitation.
- Health & Nutrition — medical outreach, maternal and child health, and feeding programmes.
- Peace Building & Mental Health — dialogue, psychosocial support, and community counselling.
Who do you serve?
Our target audience includes women and girls, children and youth, community health workers, traditional and religious leaders, community development associations, community-based organizations, and policy makers.
How can I benefit from EIFIL programmes?
Join a community meeting or contact us by phone or email. Many of our training programmes, medical outreach activities, and support services are free. For ASRHR and GBV services, we also provide confidential referral pathways.
What projects is EIFIL currently running?
Current and ongoing projects include:
- CWSI Backyard Sack Farming Project: economic empowerment through Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLA), March–December 2026.
- Plan International ASPIRE Project: SRHR, gender equality, and child safeguarding in Bauchi State, 2024–2027.
- WASH Projects: solar-powered boreholes in Karu LGA, Nasarawa State, funded by the U.S. Embassy and Irish Aid.
